I love to tell stories.

I have been telling stories through design, photography, illustration and typography for my entire career. I am a strong, confident team leader who is also a spirited team player.  For every project I take on, I am committed to creating a beautiful product while never losing sight of my responsibility to guide the viewer from beginning to end.

The positions I have held have always been at print magazines, but as the visual leader at these publications I have been responsible for the entire visual identity of each brand including digital editions, social, apps, books, packaging and more.

I have been the Design Director of multiple shelter publications including Country Living and O at Home. I began my career at Glamour, went on to work at both Parents and Child, and then became the sole Creative Director of Budget Living—a short-lived indie women’s lifestyle magazine that won the National Magazine Award for General Excellence in it’s first year of publication!

Over the course of my career I have also taken on several consulting gigs in a variety of categories including men’s (Men’s Health and Best Life), food (Weight Watchers Magazine and La Cucina Italiana), entertainment (TV Guide) and general interest (Reader’s Digest).

These days I am the Associate Design Director at Consumer Reports where I am responsible for 13 special interest publications annually in the shelter, food, health and autos spaces.

I’d love to help you tell the stories you would like to tell. Drop me a line at gellersheri@gmail.com or give me a buzz at 917.287.9912 and let’s get started!
